Lvl 20 is never enough to know if you like the class or not, most classes aren't "complete" until level 45-50, or at least they weren't pre-revamp to my experience.īefore level 40 or so, I really liked SF, then it went straight downhill even before the revamp, when I learned that the main rotation is 2 F RMB (don't let go of that button), oh, iron shoulder, F. Even if it's not a KFM that can chuck fireballs as I once thought it was. Though I still want to run the class up to max level to see if I'm wrong. But on topic, at least in my book, SF isn't winning any trophies for now. ![]() Also the game now handing weak weapons and forcing players to play with those until Ivorymoon made for a rather frustrating level experience. Sure, I didn't get to the core of the class, but 20 levels should be enough to tell you if you will enjoy it in the end. I rolled one a few days ago and deleted it at level 20 because it felt more like the broken halves of a FM and a KFM, and the halves chosen to get put together kind of didn't fully fit. I sadly didn't participate in the golden age of the SF. I really would like to come back to this game. My Soul Fighter is the only character I put effort into and now all I have are low level characters I played on every once in a while when I had nothing else to do. I really want to come back but I just don't see any reason to come back if I'm not having fun anymore. I quit playing Blade&Soul because of how depressing and boring Soul Fighters became. I miss being able to watch those flurry of attacks constantly. Limiting this amazing attack to just once per minute is just, simply put, the WORST. If anything, Dragonpunch was the defining attack for Soul Fighters and was possibly the main reason anyone even played as a Soul Fighter, but now Dragonpunch can only be cast after using Focus Chi which has a 1 minute cooldown. Dragonpunch was the BEST! It made building up chi for this one crazy and empowering attack sooo satisfying. The last and most important point I'd like to make is about what happened to Dragonpunch. Building chi with earth build just takes too long. ![]() The only thing I can say for earth build is to change the skills to allow for a faster play style. Key word here is FORCED because no one would use earth build if they didn't have to. It doesn't dps as much, it's slow, and it's just overall boring to use but in order to actually do damage during dungeons like Naryu Foundry, Soul Fighters are FORCED to switch to earth build. ![]() Now switching to the earth build is an option around this but let's be real, earth build sucks. One solution to this would be to create a third option for the skill that doesn't have the chill/freeze effect so Soul Fighters can fully participate in dungeons. Currently, both the skill options for Frost Storm cause a chill/freeze effect on who it hits which is problematic for dungeons like Naryu Foundry where the chill/freeze effect can cause mechanics to fail and put your team in an unfavorable position. This skill is a Soul Fighter's primary, and maybe the only, dps. One change I think is necessary is the skill Frost Storm. I want to bring awareness to this issue and hope to bring a change to the class. The most satisfying part of playing as a Soul Fighter was practically removed from the class. The recent update made big changes to Soul Fighters and I believe this update made them extreeeemely boring to play. ![]()
